Privacy policy
Last updated: 9 May 2026
This privacy policy covers the aazparts ↔ PartsTrader matcher Chrome extension published by aazparts.
What the extension does
The extension is a private business tool. It reads the incoming-requests
table on www.partstrader.co.nz while you browse the site and
highlights rows that match a donor vehicle in your aazparts stock.
Data we access
- PartsTrader page content — the extension reads the
requests table on pages you open under
https://www.partstrader.co.nz/*. This data stays in your browser; it is never sent anywhere by the extension. - Your aazparts stock list — to perform the matching,
the extension fetches your own organisation's vehicle list from
https://app.aazparts.co.nz/api/extension/stock. The list is cached in your browser for five minutes and cleared when the browser session ends. - Your aazparts identity — the popup shows your name
and email by calling
https://app.aazparts.co.nz/api/extension/me. The extension itself does not store this information.
Authentication
Authentication is handled entirely by your existing aazparts account.
The extension relies on the session cookie set by
app.aazparts.co.nz when you sign in there. The extension
does not read, store, or transmit your password, OAuth tokens, or any
other credential.
What we do not do
- We do not send your data to any third party.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
- We do not collect browsing history outside
www.partstrader.co.nz. - We do not sell, transfer, or use any data for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
Permissions
- storage — caches the stock list in your browser to avoid repeated requests.
- host: www.partstrader.co.nz — required to read the request table on that site.
- host: app.aazparts.co.nz — required to fetch your stock list and verify your sign-in.
